Thank you for visiting our donation portal! The World Academy for the Future of Women is a bold and rigorous leadership training program open exclusively to young women at the University level and is getting its start at the SIAS University in China. |
*** NEWS UPDATE 12/08/09 *** As of Sept 2009, The Academy's first academic year (2009-2010) launched and is in full swing with 97 female student enrollees. These women began the course curriculum with enthusiastic spirits and are making headway in creating teams to develop the first series of self-sustainable, community service based projects that each address the UN Millenium Development Goals. These women are already experiencing the importance of their contribution and gaining empowerment in the process. |
The Academy includes an eight module program that delivers a wide variety of curriculum contributed by the Academy's facilitators. The program curriculum engages these young women, allowing them to hone their leadership skills and develop the confidence required to become leaders in their community, at local and global levels. They will acquire knowledge in self-sustainability, harness organizational skills, increase their communication abilities and be involved in team building exercises and community projects. The Women’s Academy for the Future of Women is a place where these women can evoke undiscovered professional talents and create new ones. Whether they strive to be a public speaker, have visions of coordinating a food drive, or implement the powerful steps required to improve their community's health standards, they will have access to resources of invaluable information and support to help them achieve their aspirations in career and life. |
The Academy Facilitators are the key ingredient to the existence, success, vitality and growth of The World Academy for The Future of Women academic program. |
All the Facilitators agree to participate at their own expense, in time, travel and resources. Therefore each must embark on their own fund raising efforts to compensate their expenses, independent of the their normal day to day business operations. With this in mind Global Interactions is doing everything possible to help support sponsorship activities for these facilitators on an as-needed basis. Alanna Levenson, a Certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, and Neuro-Linguistic Learning Specialist, has been asked to be part of the first pilot team of facilitators for the first academic year. Alanna has agreed to develop curriculum for one of the eight modules and donate 6 weeks of her time to facilitate from April-May of 2010.
